Operation of the Ninestars electronic trash can:
- A green LED flashing every 6 seconds indicates that the bin is ready for use.
- When the LED is continuously green, the lid opens automatically.
- Automatic lid closing is indicated by a red LED.
- Permanent opening of the bin using the OPEN button is indicated by a green LED flashing every 6 seconds.
- A yellow LED flashing every 6 seconds indicates that the batteries are close to being depleted.
Installation and replacement of batteries powering the infrared sensor of the bin:
- Open the lid
- Insert 4 R-20 batteries into the container located at the bottom of the lid
Alkaline batteries should ensure proper operation of the mechanism for a period of 2 years, assuming the bin lid is opened and closed an average of 20 times a day.
Usage of the Ninestars touchless trash can:
- Do not wash the lid with running water.
- Do not press on the open lid when the touchless mode is on.
- If the lid does not open properly, be sure to check the battery container to determine if they are damaged.
- Do not expose the infrared sensor to continuous sunlight.
- Installing the trash bag:
- pass the bag through the ring
- secure the ring in the container
- Throwing away trash:
- place your hand in the infrared sensor's range (distance approx. 10cm)
- automatic lid opening will occur in about 0.5 seconds
- automatic lid closing will occur in 3 seconds from the moment the hand is removed from the infrared sensor's range.
- Opening the bin using the buttons: OPEN/CLOSE - use this mode for continuous, frequent disposal of waste.
