Hand dryers - recommended mounting height

Hand dryers should be installed at a height of:

  • in places designated for men - 120 cm,
  • women - 115 cm,
  • children - 95 cm,
  • disabled - 100 cm,
  • the universal height is 110 cm from the floor.

Height of installation of hand dryers

Recommended number of installed hand dryers:

  • in toilets with normal traffic with one sink - 1 hand dryer,
  • in toilets with increased traffic, 1 hand dryer should be installed for every 2 sinks.

It is recommended to place the hand dryer between the sink and the exit door. Do not install the hand dryer between sinks, near toilets, urinals or showers. If an automatic hand dryer is installed above a counter or shelf, the minimum distance from the horizontal surface should be 40 cm.
